Mike Jensen Founder & CEO
Mike Jensen has spent over two decades building partnerships that fuel success for leading content creators, brands, and agencies in digital media.
As founder of Rhapsody Voices, Mike leads a veteran team with deep experience in podcasting and media, delivering multi-revenue strategies for creators and innovative sponsorship solutions for marketers across audio, video, and beyond. Under his leadership, Rhapsody’s scope has expanded into live events, production services, and more—launching 50+ successful shows and representing a growing roster of top 200 podcasts, along with a curated lineup of high-engagement shows that deliver measurable results for sponsors.
Mike’s passion for podcasting began in 2012, recognizing the medium’s unmatched audience engagement across both audio and video. In 2013, he became a founding member of Stitcher’s sponsorship team, ultimately serving as Head of Sales during its successful acquisition (now part of Sirius XM) and building a multi-million-dollar custom sponsorship business. In 2017, he joined iHeartMedia to lead strategy and monetization for the launch of the iHeart Podcast Network—growing revenue to nearly $20 million in just over a year and championing the pop-culture focus that remains a core pillar of iHeart’s portfolio today. Later, as Head of Revenue at Kast Media, he drove 73% revenue growth, helping establish it as one of the largest independent podcast networks before departing in 2023 with a slate of shows and key team members to launch Rhapsody Voices.
Mike’s career began in emerging media at AOL in the late 1990s, followed by leadership roles at The Wall Street Journal and Tribune Media, guiding brands through the transition to digital platforms.
A longtime Los Angeles resident and Washington, D.C. native (go Caps!), Mike enjoys golf, volleyball, biking, and al fresco dining—proudly self-identifying as an “enthusiastic amateur” in all sports. For over a decade, he has served on the board of the National Disability Institute, including three years as Board Chair, supporting its mission to build a better financial future for people with disabilities and their families.
